Cars in Germany's Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Police
Officers reported they were alerted by a resident who discovered a vehicle in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Around 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then discovered numerous other marked cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say early analysis suggest the substance was probably blood from a person.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; authorities are presently not aware of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

An important official said the incident rendered him speechless and required to be solved quickly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
